November 12th 2007 a large fire broke out in a derelict warehouse which was being demolished to make way for the 2012 olympic park. I woke up, looked out my kitchen window whilst making coffee and saw this amazing view. It was eventually discovered that somebody cutting down a suspended ceiling with an oxy-acetylene torch set light to some polystyrene tiles. It took over 120 firefighters around 12 hours to put out and even more amusingly, sped up the buildings demolition time by over a month... Result !

Whilst out and about with my camera to catch more of what I could see from the kitchen window I was amazed by the media circus so got a few pics of them as well ... enjoy :0)
